Labriola, penning as C.J. Rose. I was born and raised here in Illinois,
not far from Chicago. I am a hairstylist, with a Bachelor's degree in
Business Management. I have always loved writing, whether it was poems,
song lyrics or stories. I decided it was time to sit down and put my

- Can you tell us a little about your books?The primary character, Luthor McAlester is a teenage boy living in San Diego, California, His father died when he was a child, leaving Luthor to become man of the house, living with his mother and younger sister. On his 18th birthday, he discovers a power that has been held dormant till now, and is unsure what to do with it, in absence of this father’s guidance. His best friend for years, Gwen, who claims to be oblivious, knows more than she is telling. In chapter one, it is revealed to him that like his father before him, he has the power to travel through time and space. This not only occurs in the past, but the present as well. In book one, Luthor discovers the journals written by is Great-Great Grandfather.Book 1- Luthor McAlester is a teenage boy living in San Diego, California. His father died when he was a child. - What inspires you to write?My love for all thing fantasy and sci-fi. Reading books like Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, Percy Jackson, House of Night, they are inspire me.
- Do you have a favorite spot to write?Anywhere. I can be in the middle of a gaming convention and if i think of something i stop and write it down.
- Do you have any “odd” writing habits?I don't have any habits per say.
- If you ever experience a case of writer’s block, how do you cure it?I get writer's block all the time. I haven't figured out a good way to cure it yet. Usually i just walk away for a while until something hits me.
- Do you work with an outline, or just write?I have done both, but I am not consistant.
- If you could spend 24 hours as a fictional character, who would you chose?Dr. Frankenstein. I don't know why but i have always found the story to be fascinating.
- What are you working on next? Right now I am promoting Book 1-Bridge of the Gods, and the companion cookbook for the series.
