Soul Bound: The Warrior

Soul Bound isn't just about an HEA. It's about surviving the read...

Murderer...

Jace Camden is haunted by his past. One that has many believing he got away with murder. He's run from it, trying to start a new life in a new town. But his past hasn't let him escape and it's determined that his future will not be a long one.
Death will demand its due.
And his late wife will make sure that debt is paid.

Kittra Thomas' life is in a rut but that changed when she looked into the sad, haunted eyes of Jace Camden. Something about his wounded soul called to her--like a flicker in a very dark cave she should have had the sense not to step into.
But his past will make sure she is no more part of Jace's future than life is.

Because he's soul bound.
And that's a bind that can only be broken by death.
His.

 Madness (Shadow-Keepers)
by

A Darkly Sweet, Twisted Retelling of The Beauty and the Beast.

A night could change everything.
Consume a cold heart in heat…
Open a heart that has been closed…
Intertwine two lives for a lifetime…and beyond.

The only thing Reno Sundown has ever known is pain. How to take it and how to use it. He was created that way and once his purpose was done, he was locked away. Never had he known good, laughter, love until he met her.

Emma Devenmore has always focused on one thing, family. The eldest of her sisters, she has made life centered on protection. Protecting her family and doing her job of protecting others. A love story was never in her plans, until she met him.

By chance, their paths cross and both were forever changed. A Beauty left yearning for a Beast, who had opened her up to something she had never dreamed of.

A Beast left wanting for a Beauty, who had unlocked emotions he never knew possible, and never was supposed to know existed.

Once paths are crossed, can they ever be uncrossed? Once they are crossed, are they destined to grow together? Or can they only be consumed by complete Madness?

Bounce: A Story from The Grid (Shadow-Keepers #1.5)

by

The exciting novella that ties into the popular Shadow-Keepers Series by Jas T. Ward-- BOUNCE.

Wisdom says that one’s past makes one’s future. Both intertwine with the present to weave the cloth of one’s life in a tapestry of events that show the whole play of time.

But what happens when a past is forgotten. The threads of memory hidden away to prevent the cloth of time from being unfolded as to prevent it from being ripped apart at the seams?

Power can destroy. Power can create. But when powers with no known purpose are pushed too far, can a love for mankind save it?

This is the story of Bounce.

The god without a past. The god with an unspoken and unknown future. And a god with a destiny and the power to save us all.

Shame he can’t remember that.

But someone does.

The Second Book in the Wildly Popular Shadow-Keepers Series!

McKenzie Miller had never needed anyone. Not since she lost both her parents to a crime of passion at a young age. Shuffled from foster home to foster home, Kenzie finally took control of her own life and lived on the streets. Now she's an adult and has a hard-wired survivalist core to never be used or abused again. She's strong and no one will ever hurt her—because she will never let someone inside the one part of her that can still feel—her heart.

Lana had everything that her parent's money could buy and until they lost it all in the economy crash, the young ballet dancer had a bright future with the San Francisco Ballet Company. Now she struggles to reach for her dream and still survive. And do so, alone. Until one night...

What Dark Power Makes YOUR Heart Beat?

COWBOY (The Shadow-Keepers Series #5)

by

Welcome Back to The Grid

Jess William Bailey has a history of being a very bad man. But that was the past—now he’s the most brutal of the bad-asses as leader of the Wires—the toughest and deadliest warriors on The Grid. He makes no excuses, feels no guilt for what he has to do and keeps both at bay with women, drink and violence. But his time is quickly running out and Jess has a solitary goal to make sure he leaves at least one good thing behind—his daughter, Sophia. A child that has been raised by the woman he still loves, Emma and the man that used to be the former dark-side of his split personality, Reno Sundown.
The last thing Jess has time for with his collapsing time frame is the beautiful, tough San Fran police detective, Beth Daniels getting in his way.

Beth has always been the one to handle everything that came her family’s way and all she has left is her mother who isn’t able to take life’s hard hits. Beth has worked obsessively in the police department to become one of the toughest detectives with a high crime solution rate. But there’s a serial killer in San Francisco and the city’s women are the targets for the cold-hearted murders. She thought she found the psycho doing the deed. But Jess William Bailey is a whole different brand of killer—one she’s told to stay away from. Which she would be glad to do—if somehow she could.

The Cowboy is totally country.
The Cop is completely rock-n-roll.
Can their two very different beats combine to form a heartbeat of a lasting kind?
And can it survive when Hell wants to kill the song?

About Jas T. Ward:

"I am the product of several realities making the whole: a troubled childhood, domestic violence survivor, homeless person, single mother and a suicide survivor. But in every single one of those realities, one thing remained true - my imagination.

Reading and writing were always my escape. It helped me deal with the harshness of my existence at the time and made me grateful for the escapism books gave me. Now, as a writer, I seek to give that gift back to someone that may need the same haven that saved my soul and my creativity as I once had."

Born and raised in Texas and spending time living in Kentucky, Ms. Ward spends her days and nights writing as therapy to handle the past. She is the proud parent of three very independent grown children and grandmother to three delightful grandchildren.

She has two furbabies that sit and ponder why their human is talking to herself late into the night as she writes out colorful and diverse if not twisted characters and tales.

Interview With Jas T Ward:
  1. Can you tell us a little about your books?
Yes! I love talking about my books and thank you for asking. I write paranormal/sci-fi romance. I've also write contemporary romance on occasions. I like to keep a reader guessing so I put plenty of twists and sub-plots in my books. I also tend to lean into the darker nature of a story and characters, but I always make sure the readers are rewarded in the end. If readers love darker romance with tons of WTF mixed with lots of laughs, they should give my books a try. :)
  2. What inspires you to write?
Pretty much everything. Or at times nothing at all. I just feel like writing is as crucial to my day as eating or sleeping. I really don't feel my day is successful if I haven't written on one of my WIPs. Inspiration can be found pretty much anywhere. We just have to work a little harder some days to find it.
  3. Do you have a favorite spot to write?
Yep. Earlier this year I bought a house on the Gulf Coast of Texas. It has an amazing view of the water right across the way. It's also pretty isolated and surrounded by nature sanctuaries, so it's a paradise tucked away unknown to most. Just something about sitting in front of the window that looks out over my deck to see an endless watery horizon spurs my creativity to have no boundaries. And, of course, if the weather is nice, write outside on that deck.
  4. Do you have any “odd” writing habits?
I'm not sure if it's odd, per se. But I always write the beginning of my books AND the endings first. I always know how I want them to start and end. I just need to fill in the middle. It works well for me.
  5. Do you listen to music while you write?
I do! Or I have a movie playing while I write with a kick-ass soundtrack, since my books have a lot of action and chase scenes in them. But funny thing, when I edit? I have to have complete silence. It keeps my writing brain at bay so I can read it without owning it I guess. In that phase, my editor owns it, not me.
  6. Do you have a favorite character to write about?
Yes. I admit it. I do, indeed, have a favorite "child". That would have to be Reno Sundown in the Shadow-Keepers series. He's so flawed yet so perfect. So childlike in his joy for life yet so bad-ass deadly. He is most definitely special in my author's heart.
  7. For a reader who hasn't read your books yet, which book do you suggest they start with?
If they want just a taste of my Shadow-Keepers series, I suggest reading either Candyman or Bounce--companion novellas to the series. Both are considered great series starters. Candyman actually is the first book - it was the fan-fiction story that started online and grew such a following the whole series was born. There are five books total. If you're a contemporary romance reader who likes realistic and deeper romances, then try Love's Bitter Harvest.
  8. What are writing projects are you currently working on?
I am working on the fourth full-length book in the Keepers series- Murder. And it's more twisted than the rest of the books as we wind up for the series climax with book six being the grand finale so to speak. And I'm working on a dark, thriller, romance - Soul Bound: The Warrior which is my most darkest romance yet. It deals with some very dark aspects of a social taboo - suicide.
  9. Are you doing any Author Signing Events?  I am! I am doing RT next year and then Houston Authors Bash and East Texas Book Bash in 2017. I am spending more time and effort on the books, so besides RT that takes place in Atlanta, I'm only doing regional signings. But I hope to see you there.
